Woodstock Must've Been One Hell of a Good Time

I'm sitting here on the floor with my foot up on pillows cuz I had to go and hike up Cathedral Ledge with Gage on Sat and now I'm paying for it. However, VH1 Classic has been nothing but bad ass the past 2 nights and has kept me quite happy while I've worked on hordes of photos that have fallen behind in the editing process. I love that I'm so busy. I love that I'm so booked. I love that I love my job again.

So Saturday was an amazing day with my Gagey. We started by stopping by my old house and checking out the lake, peeking through the windows of Chipmunk Cottage while I told him stories of my life there. We trekked through the field of millions of dandelions, saw some geese and went up to the cemetery. Got some good shots around there and went to the old Laurel Lea (Mountainside Pub) by my old place. I actually spent the first 6 years of my life growing up IN the bar/restaurant, but that's another blog. We went in for a cup of coffee and who was in there? Oh you guessed it.. Steve. Can we say awkward? I think Steve was nervous.. he babbled and kept staring at Gage with stupid nervous smile on his face. Sad. Needless to say, we didn't stay too long, and once we were in the car, Gage just looked at me, totally puzzled as to how I spent nearly 2 yeas with this hick. I told him I wished I could answer that question.... I'm still trying to think of the reasons why hahaha.
So we headed on out to North Conway, went up to the Ledge, got some beautiful shots along the way. Got a few on East Conway Road that I'll have to post too, and spent some well deserved time at Starbucks with Chooch and Jack. To most, the day probably doesn't seem all that eventful, but after all the shit we've been subjected to by other people in the past few weeks, it was just the day we needed. It was great to laugh again and not worry about what anyone else was thinking. Didn't have to worry about times and rules and all that other shit. It was just a great day. A day that we've been waiting to have for awhile.
I have so much more I want to say, but this blog has taken 2 days for me to write and post and it's Saturday again which means I have to go get ready to pick up Gage and spend this lovely Maine day out shooting :) Check out some of the pics we got last week.. good stuff!
